Dep of Biochemistrys broad view of aim with Proteios
- Data storage of experiment details.
- Limited LIMS functionality
- Controlled storage of raw data (spectra, images)
- Protein identifications
- Reports
- Access from any computer
- Share data
- Possibility to save/reuse protocols (experimental)
Data storage of experimental details: Storage of the Experimenter, protocols, physical location of sample, date, m.m.
Limited LIMS func: Possibility to track MALDI-targets (plates) and maybe experimenter
Controlled storage: Proteios should control where raw data are saved (externally) and have a link to it (LSID?). Storage possibilities should be a server or DVD. In case of DVD it should demand information that makes it easy to find DVD:n. Maybe there will be a need of saving an oracle-file containing the experimental details of the spectra.
Protein identifications: Data is exported to an external software (i.e. mzdata) and the result are thereafter imported. Compare with use case from Proteome center
Reports: Compare with use case from Proteome center (FL) Identifications by gel-spot or gel-band, sorted on spot, coupled to gel-image Identifications by LC-set, sorted on protein, quality
Possibility to save/reuse protocols (experimental): Protocols contain info about experimental methods like concentrations, volumes, durations or temperatures. These are manually added into Proteios and often they are reused. These can either be saved as a textfile or have separate tables in the database
